This radiant gem of a play explores the possibilities that open up in the lives of an array of women as they come into contact with a certain strand of pearls. While the pearls are stolen, bought, bestowed, unstrung, and nearly lost, their dazzling journey through generations spans thirty-five years. The lives of mothers and daughters, sisters and friends, even husbands and wives are touched in a poignant, deeply affecting story of love and loss.

The play is pretty bizarre, but it's an interesting take on relationships, family, and, probably, one's 'inner child,' to go back to the early to mid 90s. It would be easy for it to fall flat, but pretty excellent performances from Erin and Sheana make it worth seeing. They move fluidly from their adult characters to their childlike alter-egos, and, in Sheana's case, from Orphan to Henri with success. The Orphan-Henri sandwich debacle is easily the most attention grabbing scene, and it showcases Sheana's ability and comedy supremely well. Erin has a gift for effortless comedic timing, and her Cecil is delightfully nerdy but self-sufficient. Go and see! Collapse
