The Dixon's new director, Kevin Sharp, loves the movies. He has seen his favorite films dozens of times. Because he is such a fan, Kevin will be creating his own favorite film festival over the next year. He has decided upon a chronological format for his series, starting in the 1930s with three movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema. Each film features two great stars and strong supporting casts, and each in their own way speaks to the peculiarly American response to the Great Depression and the advent of the modern era. Kevin will offer a short introduction to the film before each screening. March 20: Holiday, 1938 Starring: Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn Directed by: George Cukor A much too lightly regarded masterpiece 95 minutes Film begins at 7:00 pm and is included with Museum Admission.
