STRAUSS Burleske in D minor for Piano and Orchestra
DVORAK Symphony No. 7 in D Minor, Op. 70 Irish pianist Barry Douglas plays Strauss in a Don Juan-themed concert with the MSO. The first non-Russiona Gold Medal winner in the Tachaikovsky International Piano Competition since Van Cliburn, Mr. Douglas was also awarded the Bronze Medal at the Van Cliburn Competition in Texas and the top prize in the Santander Paloma O'Shea Competition in Spain. One of Dvorak's greatest symphonies concludes this program.
