Luna Nova Music, in cooperation with the Memphis Composers Forum, will present a concert on Monday, October 6 at First Congregational. The Luna Nova Ensemble, a group of artists devoted to the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, has performed in colleges, museums, churches, and concert halls across the country. Its repertoire consists of recognized masterworks as well as works by emerging composers. This program will feature Le Merle Noir for flute and piano by Olivier Messiaen Dans le Labyrinthe de Marais for cello and piano by University of the South composer James Carlson, as well as works by Memphis composers Andrew Drannon, Marshall Fine, and David Peoples.
