The Orpheum Theatre

The Orpheum Theatre, managed by the Memphis Development Foundation, serves as a cultural center presenting a vast array of entertainment, such as Broadway touring shows, various concerts and comedians, inspirational productions, and a clasic movie series annually. The Orpheum is also home to two Memphis local arts groups, Ballet Memphis and Opera Memphis.
The Orpheum Theatre is operated by a non-profit organization and continues to flourish because of the generous support of the community.

    Took my daughters to see HSM last night - the show was fantastic. The work with the props was smooth, the costumes perfect and the sound virtually spotless. The crowd was surprisingly well behaved given the average age of about 10! Slight differences to the movie but any child will be able to follow it. My only complaint (and it's not really a complaint) is that there were some political jabs and innuendos in the script that did nothing for the show but make the parents chuckle. Had a great time!
