Raising funds to ensure excellence in the arts and build a vibrant cultural community for everyone.
Our mission statement above says it best - ArtsMemphis is an arts fundraising organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the region's cultural community. Approximately 95% of funds raised through our Annual Campaign goes directly to the arts community. Founded 45 years ago by a group of Memphians who wanted to ensure that vibrant and diverse local arts offerings would be sustained, ArtsMemphis is now one of the largest United Arts Fund in the entire country.
ArtsMemphis is proud to offer this calendar of events to our community as another way to promote our many cultural assets.

	Tell-a-friend Ballet Memphis In its 21st season, Ballet Memphis serves as a creative resource to the nation as a maker and interpreter of the South's cultural legacy through its innovative neoclassical and contemporary repertoire, as well as production and training of the highest caliber. Founded by Dorothy Gunther Pugh in 1986, Ballet Memphis employs 16 professional dancers with a $3.2 million operating budget and has performed around the world. The combined programs of Ballet Memphis' dance company, ballet school, educational enrichment and Pilates Centre, serve 75,000 people each year.
	Tell-a-friend Memphis Cultural Arts Enrichment Center Now celebrating 20 years of the health, social and academic development of Memphis area youth through the performing arts.
	Tell-a-friend Metal Museum The Metal Museum is the only institution in the Americas dedicated to the preservation and advancement of fine metalwork.
	Tell-a-friend Stax Museum of American Soul Music The world's only soul music museum! Built on the site of the original Stax Records studios at 926 East McLemore, our world-class permanent collection of memorabilia, interactive exhibits, and unqiue, scale replicas tell the story of "the Memphis sound" to thousands of visitors from around the world every year. A program of The Soulsville Foundation.
	Tell-a-friend TheatreWorks TheatreWorks is a consortium of performing arts groups consisting of, Emerald Theatre Company, New Moon Theatre Company, Our Own Voice Theatre Troupe, Playwrights' Forum, Project Motion, Voices of the South and visiting groups such as Bluff City Tri-Art Theatre and Ballet on Wheels.

Your contribution funds 27 arts groups, sustains ACT (Arts for Children and Teachers) education programming in over 40 Memphis City Schools and administers ticket subsidies so that children in our community can enjoy the arts.
