    About the artist:

I was born and raised in Chicago where I studied art and drama in city colleges. I worked at Playboy in the early 60s as an art director and later free-lanced at local ad agencies designing ad campaigns and designing print literature for various corporations such as Gillette and The Chicago Tribune. My early theater work included roles in productions such as Grease, Bell - Book and Candle, The Camino Real and Diary of Anne Frank. I relocated to Little Rock and spent 9 years as a creative director and art director with ad agencies that specialized in consumer advertising. When I moved to California in 1980 I continued my career in advertising and studied acting, landing some roles in various productions. I drew story boards and assisted Universal Studios with various concepts and art direction in a free lance capacity. I'm now living in Cordova, Tennessee with my wife, Lydia and very active in the acting community here and I've been in several films such as, "Walk The Line," " Nothing But The Truth," "Forty Shades of Blue," among others... My film, art and photography business is called DRM Productions... My wife, Lydia and I have a daughter, Lea, who lives in Bloomington, Indiana and a son, Raymond, who resides with his family in Frisco, Texas.

    • ArtsMemphis logo

Known around the world for its blues and rock and roll, Memphis has a recognizable special vibe. ArtsMemphis exists to nurture this unique character and to magnify the city’s creative voice. We are a 45-year-old arts funding organization (the sixth largest in the United States), which provides annual operating and project support to 23 arts groups and administers some 150 additional grants on a year to year basis. The ArtsMemphis tagline is “your support matters” and indeed it does. As major fundraisers, grant-makers and arts promoters in the city, ArtsMemphis contributed more than $4 million to the Memphis arts community in 2007, and it is a fact that 95 cents of every dollar raised in our annual campaign is directed to our funded organizations. ArtsMemphis builds partnerships among artists, arts groups, donors, educators and culture lovers throughout the city and region. Recognizing that a lively arts scene has a major economic impact and is essential to the quality of life in Memphis, ArtsMemphis is encouraging the entire community to interact with the arts like never before. The current enhanced website with its expanded calendar of events has been introduced with that goal in mind.
