ARTSmemphis Welcomes New Board Members

ARTSmemphis is pleased to announce Audsley Dunavant Carr and Jonathan Hancock as new members of its Board of Directors.

A native Memphian, Audsley Dunavant Carr earned her B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and has focused her career in talent acquisition consulting and executive recruiting, where she has partnered with clients in successful CRO, CMO, and CCO placements across various global high-growth companies. Carr is co-chair of this year’s Conservation Through Art: Fête in the Field, a biannual fundraiser for ARTSmemphis in partnership with Ducks Unlimited that has historically raised over $7 million for the arts.

“I have been so impressed with ARTSmemphis’ work and impact behind the scenes over the years, and I am ready for more Memphians to understand how important this funding is to keep our local arts organizations operating and growing,” said Carr.

Jonathan C. Hancock is a Shareholder at Baker Donelson, where his practice includes more than two decades of experience focusing on employment law and litigation. In addition to his counsel, most recently, he was appointed to serve as a Hearing Officer by the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility and the Tennessee Supreme Court. Jonathan earned his B.S. from Millsaps College and his J.D. from University of Mississippi.

“Some of Memphis’ best qualities relate back to the City’s connection to the arts and music, and I am excited to help support the artists and arts employees that help maintain that connection. As the National Endowment for the Arts’ designated distributor of funding to local artists, ARTSmemphis must continue to serve the entire ecosystem and community — it’s what makes our city’s arts scene so valuable and is important to our identity as a City.”
